Born to two great actors of their time, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek started his career with a struggle facing downfalls, criticisms and failures.
Abhishek made his debut in the year 2000 with the J.P.Dutta movie Refugee with Kareena Kapur. The movie didn’t do well at the box office and Abhishek’s career struggle started.
He got recognition as an actor in Yuva, 2004, since then he hasn’t looked back. Now he is following his ancestral footsteps to becoming a legend.
Abhishek Bachchan is the current generation star of Bachchan family. Taking the family tradition to a new high, he is all set to make his mark in the Bollywood industry and beyond.

Abhishek’s family name is Srivastava, but Harivansh Rai, his grandfather and a very renowned (hindi) poet opted a pen name Bachchan.
Abhishek’s father continued the fame of his father, when he entered into movies and made a mark in the industry as Amitabh Bachchan.

Abhishek completed his education at Boston University, United States but left the same mid-way to start working because his father’s unstable career at that time.
Abhishek married former Miss Universe turned actress in April, 2007 in Mumbai. Their marriage was one of the most talked about affairs of the time. Media going crazy, channels telecasting even a minor glimpse of the wedding hall or guests, controversies arising etc. marked the fame and madness of both the groom and the bride.
The wedding was a secret affair but pictures were soon released keeping in mind the fan following of the Bachchan family.
